La Cobleta de la Copeta
Imagine you are in a small village in the Catalan Pyrenees, in a rustic tavern, after a dinner of merit. Among ratafia glasses, wineskins and porrons (glass jar) of garnatxa. Taking a long table talk, it is Saturday night. While you chat with other people, someone starts a tune.
The Cobleta de la Copeta are four young musicians who have inherited the taste of the music that has made our earth; that we love the lyrics and melodies that our ancestors had improvised between glass of wine and slice of cheese ,and we charmed about the music that is rooted in an open land as Catalonia.
Therefore, our traditional music is the freshness of our youth, the severity of the pass of centuries and the courage to reinterpret and invent it again. Our concerts are an overview of the history of our country from their music. Music for listening and dancing. And music for singing. The Cobleta de la Copeta has new the fact that it connects with the old.
You don’t need to imagine more to live it. You can listen to us and have some fun with us. You can participate in a show that will make you feel closer to a land that welcomes you and curl up you.
The group consists of: Magalí Sala: violin and voice; Ivó Jordà: gralla, tarota and voice; Marçal Ramon: diatonic accordion and voice and Iu Boixader: bass and voice.
